Advanced Search By clicking ADVANCED SEARCH in the highlighted menu in the upper right part of the screen a search screen opens which offers more detailed search options, such as subject headings, authors, title initials and more. In the field Author enter personal names in the form Surname, Name. Title initials: This search represents a search in the title list. One enters the exact wording of a title. Year: This option allows limiting the search to documents published within a certain period of time. Branch: This option allows limiting the search to documents available at a particular branch of the library, the ECO library or the EURAC research library (Main Library). Clicking on the LIST button situated to the right of the search fields Subjects, Author, and Classification you can consult the corresponding archive. Placeholders The symbols "*" and "%" represent placeholders for any number of letters (truncation). This means that when a word root directly followed by the truncation symbol is entered all words which begin with this word root are retrieved, e.g. economi% finds economics, economy, economical, economies etc. Regarding the fields "title" and "author" the truncation automatism is self-acting. |
