Francesco E. Guida (*1971), architect, author and assistant professor at the Department of Design and teacher at the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano | Bachelor in Communication Design. His research focus lies in the INDACO department – industrial design,art, communication and fashion. He holds a PhD in Design and Technology for the Enhancement of Cultural Heritage. He started to work as co-editor of an underground music magazine at the beginning of the 90’s and has been working as a graphic designer since. He is consultant for visual identity, guidance systems and publishing design. In Milan, he has studied under the renowned designer and ‹master› A G Fronzoni. Guida is the author of ‹Comunicazione coordinata per i Beni Culturali› (‹Corporate communication for the Cultural Heritage›, 2003). His contributions on visual communication, public communication and sign systems in museums are published in journals (Lineagrafica, Diid, Gud, Graphic Design), books and conference proceedings. He recently edited ‹Type design. Esperienze progettuali tra teoria e prassi› (‹Type design. Design Experience between theory and practice›, Franco Angeli, 2011) with Giancarlo Iliprandi. With Cinzia Ferrara, he edited "On the road. Bob Noorda, il grafico del viaggio" (‹On the road. Bob Noorda: travelling with a graphic designer›, Aiap 2011), which was awarded in the ADI Index 2012 and nominated for the Compasso d'Oro. His works have been exhibited in group shows in Italy and abroad and published in several books and national and international directories. He is a member of AIAP (Italian Association of Visual Communication Design), for which he has been an Executive Board member and is currently the head of the AIAP Graphic Design Documentation Center (CDPG/Aiap).tto Grafico (CDPG/Aiap).
