The Consumer Behavior in Tourism Symposium 2008 (CBTS 2008), held December 11-13, 2008, in Bruneck/Brunico (South Tyrol, Italy), aims at offering an opportunity for scientific exchange among researchers and practitioners from all over the world working in the field of consumer behavior in tourism and related areas. |
CBTS 2008 is organized by the Competence Centre in Tourism Management and Tourism Economics (TOMTE)

Accordingly, the thematic scope is on theoretical, methodological, and practical advances to relate consumer behavior issues to the area of tourism. Contributions to CBTS 2008 should be related to at least one of the following topics: - Current theoretical developments and practical applications in consumer behavior applied to tourism
- Issues in well-being and quality-of-life research with a special emphasis on tourism
- Evaluation of offers and events in tourism
- Mobile technology in tourism
Papers presented at CBTS 2008 will be considered for inclusion into one special issue of the following journals, each scheduled for 2010:
