Instructions for authors


Oral presentations

Oral presentations will last 13 minutes (+ 2 minutes discussion) and may be held in Italian or English.

Presentations shall be saved in a Microsoft PowerPoint compatible format. All roots are provided with computer, beamer, screen, microphone, and laser pointer. The authors are invited to bring their presentations on an usb stick to the room assistants at least 15 minutes before the scheduled beginning of morning and afternoon sessions. It is suggested to test ahead, with the support of room assistants, the proper functioning of the presentation.


Poster preparation

Posters have a portrait A0 format and may be prepared in Italian or English.

The necessary items for hanging will be provided by the organizers.

Posters can be hanged the morning of Wednesday, September 14 and will remain on site for the whole meeting. A number will be assigned to each poster to identify its position and the poster session.

There will be three poster sessions for the symposium on “Sustainability of the productive process”, three for the symposium on “Quality of horticultural production”, and one for “Multifunctionality in horticulture”. Grouped posters will be summarized and briefly presented by a colleague at the end of oral sessions. The presenting author of the poster has to remain close to his/her poster during the assigned session.


Best poster awards

On Wednesday and Thursday until 16:00, a commission formed by the chairpersons of the poster sessions will evaluate the candidates for the “Best poster award presented by a young researcher”. The three best posters will be awarded during the Society assembly, on Thursday, September 15.
