Antonino Benincasa

Antonino Benincasa (*1967, Professor) is a designer and, since 2005, Professor for Visual Communication at the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano. In 1993 he was awarded a Diploma in Visual Communication from the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd. In May 1997 he was Lecturer for Visual Communication and Motion Design at Milan Politecnico’s Faculty of Industrial Design. In 1996 he founded 72 dpi in Milan and in 1999, with Nicole Husmann, formed Husmann-Benincasa Corporate & Brand Design. From 2003 to 2006 Antonino Benincasa was on the board of the AIAP (Association of Italian Graphic Designers) and since 2004 has been a member of the Ministero della Grafica.

Prizes
  • First prize in competition to design the logo for the XX Winter Olympic Games in Turin 2006; was then commissioned by TOROC (Turin Organizing Committee) to create the corporate identity for the Winter Games.
  • He created the logo for the Paralympics and all other sub-brand logos of the XX Winter Olympics.
