The Free University of Bozen - Bolzano

Multilingualism and interculturalism are the main characteristics of the Free University of Bozen - Bolzano. The five faculties with a high number of lecturers from abroad deal with subjects connected to economics, the natural sciences, technology, computer science, design and the social and educational worlds. Teaching and research at the University are based on high quality standards and the faculties are part of international networks.

This young and dynamic university at the crossroads between Italian and German culture offers excellent conditions for studying in a multilingual region with an optimal student-lecturer ratio, especially high quality of living and lots of opportunities for sports and recreation.

Teaching and research at Unibz are characterised by a trilingual approach; the languages of tuition for the vast majority of the degree programmes are English, German and Italian. This makes the University an ideal place for our students to become highly effective communicators, people who are sought after by employers. An aim of the University is to foster its students’ proficiency in the three teaching languages both before and during their studies.
