| Abstract: The research aims to develop a new ‘city bike’. A city bike because bicycles are, still today, the most multifunctional vehicles suitable for anyone; many people elected them even as status symbol and distinctive life style accessory. A city bike because the worldwide technology development allows further evolutions of bicycles to be built and lived in a non-traditional way. Technology is the fulcrum of the research: alternative materials, production techniques, new product functions and ergonomics will be explored. The final result should aims at both an aesthetically and functionally more appealing vehicle.
