| Abstract: The project aims to answer the following questions: Which are the benefits of an enlarged understanding of interdisciplinarity in design, architecture and communication? What are “extended forms of interdisciplinarity” in design projects? Which are possible methods and working approaches in order to achieve extended forms of interdisciplinarity in design projects? The working methods consist in: :: historical research (professional approaches, projects, designers) :: empirical research (professional approaches, projects, designers) :: epistemological analysis (contents, motivations, benefits, etc.) :: evaluation, dialectical argumentation, conclusions To the research results will be dedicated a publication and, perhaps, a conference.
