The Organising Committee for the XX Olympic Winter Games – Torino 2006, a private sector, non-profit-making foundation, has been appointed to co-ordinate the event. One of its responsibilities is the creation and protection of the visual image of the Games, and the alignment of the primary and secondary graphical aspects of all Olympic and Para Olympic design projects. The User Manual of the Torino 2006 Trademark defines standards, 01 the competition guidelines and directions for use. In 2000 an international competition was initiated for the design of the logo. In August 2000 the studio Husmann-Benincasa won -under 1471 logo entries from all over the world- this competition. This book documents the developing process ot the Logo and the Branding concepts of the XX Olympic Winter Games – Torino 2006, done by the studio Husmann-Benincasa.
