Elisabetta Di Stefano (*1970, Dr.); has since 2008 been a researcher at the Dipartimento di Filosofia, storia e critica dei saperi at the University of Palermo. She lectures at the Faculty of Architecture (Aesthetics) and at the Faculty of Literature (Aesthetics of the New Media) at the University of Palermo; in 1994 was awarded her Master’s in Classical Literature (summa cum laude), in 2000 completed dissertation in aesthetics and art theory (subject: Leon Battista Alberti e la teoria dell’arte nel Quattrocento); in 2003 awarded Master’s in Philosophy. In 2004, together with Prof. Anthony Colantuono (University of Maryland), she organised the seminar Le Muse nel marmo. Arti plastiche e teorie estetiche nel Seicento. She has worked in the research groups Ripensare l'Estetica (Cofin 1999), La forma dell'immagine (Prin 2003) and Disegno dell'immagine (Prin 2005) and is a member of the International Centre for the Study of Aesthetics and the Italian Society of Aesthetics (SIE).
