Barbara Baumann (*1951) and Gerd Baumann (*1950), designers; they studied visual design at the Schwäbisch Gmünd College of Design, in 1978 they founded Baumann & Baumann in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Since then they have been developing comprehensive arrangement, communication and corporate design concepts, including work on the German Bundestag in Bonn, the Great Court of the British Museum, London, as well as working for international firms such as DaimlerChrysler, Siemens, WMF, etc. They are visiting professors at the Schwäbisch Gmünd College of Design, the Bremen University of the Arts and, since 2001, annually at Musashino Art University in Tokyo.
