Luigi Russo (*1943, Prof.) is Ordinary Professor of Aesthetics at the University of Palermo’s Faculty of Literature and Philosophy. A graduate of both literature and philosophy, he studied under Cesare Brandi. Luigi Russo is the co-ordinator of the research doctorate in Aesthetics and Art Theory and President of the Italian Society of Aesthetics. He is the founder and director of the International Centre for the Study of Aesthetics .
